平武县中医医院始建于1986年，是一所集医疗、教学、科研、康复为一体的综合性中医医院；医院技术力量雄厚、诊疗设备先进、服务功能齐全、就诊环境一流，也是全县中医学科发展最快、专业涵盖最广、中医诊疗功能最全、技术特色显明的中医龙头医院。承担着全县中医教学、人才培养、疾病防治的历史重任，同时，也肩负着弘扬传承祖国医学的光荣使命。

医院占地面积5500余平方米，建筑面积10536平方米。编制床位100张，实际开放床位114张，现有职工119人，其中卫生专业技术人员104人，高级职称10人，中级职称20人。

设备配备  医院拥有16排32层螺旋CT机、DRX光机、移动式X线机、高清晰彩超、全自动生化分析仪、经颅多普勒、电子胃镜、腹腔镜、麻醉机、三维电脑牵引床、中药熏蒸仪、骨蜡治疗仪、进口麻醉机、血液透析系等一批较大型的中医药医疗设备。
